Trust Yourself

Have you ever got recommendations that looked amazing on someone but when you go to try it… It was not the result you were expecting. It left you disappointed & the money you spent was now down the drain? lol

Girl, I tried several recommendations only to find that that lipstick, lip liner, the perfume, blush & bronzer was so not me! I’m so thankful though that it worked well for my mom & my niece! They loved the products & it felt so good that it made them glow & happy! Would you believe that makeup could bring families closer together? I bought two more lipsticks for my mom & my niece missed her opportunity this round! lol. It brings me much joy & happiness to spoil them & my mom loved the perfume!!!

I learned a valuable lesson that what works for someone will not always work for you. Perfumes vary on your body chemistry & the type of fragrance you like. I like more a light, fresh, citrusy, fruity, floral or minty smell. I have sensitivity to smell & when smells are too strong it can give me a migraine so I don’t like to experiment too much with fragrances. I tried for years to figure what was my style of fragrances from Scentbird but I didn’t know till I tried the perfume with Farmasi.

It goes with the body wash I love Farmasi coconut & vanilla body wash & scrub. The way it makes my skin so soft! I like candles, essential oils, hand soap, body wash too with eucalyptus, spearmint, & green tea. I didn’t realize it till now that I had a sense of style in the smells I like & my preference.

The same thing went with lipstick & lip liners that looked so good on others but for me I was not feeling it. It was because I had a sense of style. I like simple, clean, natural, & soft styles. I am a minimalist & bold styles are not my thing. I had the aha moment that I needed to trust myself. I am more a lip gloss girl not lipstick.

But I needed to be open to experiment to try new things which help me discover my sense of styles. If I didn’t try I wouldn’t have know what worked or didn’t. It helped me to make more decisions with clarity to discover this part of me that I was unaware of.

Girl, I can’t t tell you how money & time I spent over the years to discover things about myself that becoming a beauty influencer open up this new world of understanding myself better, accepting myself, & trusting myself more.

I stopped wearing makeup for years because I saw the damage it did on girls faces & toxic chemicals in it that I didn’t wear it for years. I would occasionally do mascara & eyeshadow but my style was so outdated. It opened the door to experimenting & learning more about myself. It taught me to be okay to be a beginner & that I would get better at it as I progress. I’m in to clean beauty, natural, & organic products for both beauty & wellness. I tried different brands with different products. It’s why I’m so grateful that I can earn extra income with doing what I love & to offer you an opportunity that you can do the same thing too!

I laughed so hard when I saw this girl on IG do reel on what becoming a beauty influencer in 2016 looked like. It was hilarious because back then you would start a YouTube channel & you needed that $700 camera. Now, you don’t need an expensive camera, you can use your phone, social media, & start for $125 PV. Times has changed & how sharing your affiliate commissionable link can earn you extra money.

My journey as a beauty influencer looks so different from other beauty influencers. It’s okay because you can’t compare your journey to anyone else. You don’t need to look like “beauty standards” of society or have a large following to get started. To love & accept yourself, flaws & all. To become the woman you were meant to be!

I will share with you all the lessons I learned when it comes to makeup, skincare, haircare, & wellness that will save you some time, money, energy, & grief! Girl, trust me I know!!! lol. Don’t get me started…

Here’s to trusting yourself & be open to experiment trying new things because you never know what you’ll discover about yourself on this journey! 🤍
